In short
  • AI detection is probabilistic and is never proof that text was written by AI.
  • Do not use a score alone to make academic, employment or disciplinary decisions.
  • You are responsible for how you use rewritten text.

1. AI detection results

Humanizely’s AI Detector estimates how closely text resembles AI-generated writing. Results can be wrong, including false positives on human writing and false negatives on AI writing. Accuracy is lower for short texts, formulaic genres, heavily edited drafts, writing by non-native speakers, and languages other than English.

2. Not proof of authorship

A detection score is not evidence that a person used AI. It must not be used as the sole basis for academic, employment, legal or disciplinary decisions. We are not responsible for decisions made by any person or institution based on our results.

3. Humanizer outputs

Rewritten text may contain errors, change nuance, or be unsuitable for your purpose. Review every output before you use it. We make no guarantee about how any third-party detector will classify rewritten text.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to you, including academic integrity, employer and publisher policies on AI use and disclosure, and copyright law.
