How can we help?

Help topic

Getting started

Create an account, run your first check and find your way around.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free account. It lets us apply your plan’s limits and keeps your usage in sync between the web and the mobile app. Sign up with email or Google — no card needed.

How do I run my first check?

Sign in, open AI Detector, paste at least a few sentences and select Analyze text. You’ll see an overall score and the sentences behind it within seconds.

What’s the difference between the AI Detector and the Humanizer?

The AI Detector tells you how likely your text is to read as AI-generated and why. The Humanizer rewrites text into natural language in the tone you choose. Detection is free and unlimited; humanizations are limited by plan.

Help topic

AI Detector

Scores, highlighted sentences and what they mean.

How is the AI score calculated?

A transformer model trained on human and AI-written text scores your document, in overlapping sections for long texts, and each sentence with its neighbours for context. The overall score is the probability the text as a whole reads as AI-generated.

Why was my own writing flagged as AI?

Detection is probabilistic. Short passages, formulaic genres such as abstracts or legal text, and simpler phrasing from non-native writers can all raise a score. Look at which sentences were flagged and why — and read how AI detectors work.

What do the two highlight colours mean?

Amber highlights are passages that read strongly as AI. Lighter purple highlights with a dashed underline are weak signals — worth a look, but common in human writing too.

How much text can I check?

Up to 10,000 characters per check on Free and 50,000 on paid plans. Detection works best on at least 50 words of English text.

Humanizer

Tones, strengths, comparing changes and limits.

When does my daily humanization limit reset?

Free humanizations (2 a day) reset at midnight UTC. Paid word allowances reset monthly on your billing date.

How do I protect citations and numbers?

You don’t need to do anything. Every rewrite extracts names, figures, dates and citations from your text first and keeps them, then checks the rewrite’s meaning against your original.

Which tone and strength should I use?

Natural for blogs and everyday writing, Academic for papers, Professional for work, Simple for plain-language versions and Formal for official documents. Light keeps closest to your wording; strong changes the most.

How are words counted on paid plans?

Each rewrite uses the words in the text you send, with a minimum of 150 words per rewrite, from your monthly allowance.

Plans & billing

Upgrades, receipts, cancellations and refunds.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Go to Settings › Plan & billing and choose Manage subscription. If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app, manage it in the App Store or Google Play instead.

Where can I find my receipt?

Receipts are emailed after every payment. For web purchases you can also open Manage subscription in Settings to see past payments.

Do you offer refunds?

See our Refund Policy for when refunds apply and how to request one.

Account & privacy

Sign-in, deleting your history or account.

Do you store my text?

No. Text you check or rewrite is processed to produce your result and isn’t saved on our servers. Your history is stored in your own browser.

How do I delete my history or account?

Clear your history from History or Settings. To delete your account, go to Settings › Delete account. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel that in the store first.

I forgot my password.

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page and we’ll email you a reset link.

Mobile app

Using Humanizely on iOS and Android with the same account.

Can I use my subscription on the mobile app?

Yes. Sign in with the same account and your plan, limits and usage apply on the web and in the iOS and Android apps.

Is my history shared between devices?

Not yet. History is kept on each device, so checks you run on the web appear in your browser and checks in the app stay in the app.

Still need help?

Send us a message and we’ll get back to you by email.
